Biblical Interpretation & Scripture Study is an 8-week course designed to equip students with practical tools for studying, understanding, and accurately interpreting the Word of God. Students will learn how to examine Scripture in its historical, cultural, literary, and biblical context, recognize different biblical genres, identify the intended meaning of a passage, and avoid common errors such as taking verses out of context or imposing personal ideas onto the text. Throughout the course, students will develop a disciplined approach to Scripture through observation, interpretation, and application, learning how to allow Scripture to interpret Scripture and how to move responsibly from biblical meaning to present-day application. By the end of the course, students will have a repeatable Bible-study method they can use for personal spiritual growth, teaching, preaching, discipleship, and ministry preparation.
